Laura is the senior dentist and practice owner. She came to the practice in 1997 having worked in central London for six years while her husband Alan worked on prestigious architectural projects. They have two sons Isaac who is now studying at Plymouth University and Gideon who is nearing the end of his time at Ballymena Academy.
In 2003 Laura took over ownership of the practice and has steered the practice through extensive modernisation. Laura is secretary for the N.I. region of the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is passionate about her work and now 25 years into her career is still enthusiastic about keeping abreast of new ideas and techniques in dentistry, undertaking further training from some of the UK's top dental practitioners and educators. Laura is a recognised Six Month Smiles provider.
Within our practice Laura has encouraged, trained and mentored many other team members infecting them with her enthusiasm and passion.
Laura has a very considerate and empathic way with patients and keeps patients relaxed as she treats them. Her loyal band of patients are cared for as friends and over the years have heard many tales of the Jones family's exploits, while she is always ready to listen as much as talk.

Karen graduated form Queen's with Honours in 2001 and worked in mainly private general practices in her native Coleraine before joining our team in 2012. After further exams she was admitted to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. Softly spoken and always calm, Karen is a pleasure to work with. She has a relaxed and easygoing manner that is a huge asset in our profession as we appreciate dental treatment can be a source of stress and anxiety for patients. She is popular with patients and team members alike, unassuming she is a fastidious and skilled clinician. Along with Laura, Karen too is undertaking the Irish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry restorative course taught by the Tidu Mankoo who is one of Europe's top clinicians. This is a comprehensive programme of study days covering many aspects of top level, 21st century dentistry.
As a working mum to two young children, free time is a scarce commodity for Karen these days but she still enjoys a game of badminton and takes an active role in Coleraine Young Farmers Club.

Damien graduated from Queens in the summer of 2014 and is spending his foundation year with us. Damien is enjoying meeting our patients young and old and with his gentle approach to patient care is proving to be a valuable addition to the team. Patient feedback is very positive and it’s always great when our patients opinion matches ours.
He is calm, courteous, professional, thorough and a pleasure to have in the practice. Well outnumbered by all the females in the team he has a great sense of humour which he needs!
A keen footballer (who actually plays opposed to the armchair variety) he puts most of us to shame, the only mystery is how did another Man. U. supporter sneak in below Laura’s Arsenal loving radar?

Jenny has been part of our team for many years starting her dental career as a dental nurse. Jenny left us in 2006 to undertake the full-time training required to become a Dental Hygienist. On qualifying in 2008, Jenny returned to us part-time in her new role. She is a very skilled dental hygienist neither compromising the standard of the treatment she provides nor the comfort of the patient. This can be a challenge but Jenny manages it beautifully and the care she provides makes a huge contribution to the overall oral health of our patients.
Jenny, also from Ballymena, is married to Asa and is another working mum. She spends her time outside of work enjoying her family and socialising with close friends.

Karen joined our team at the end of 2012. At that time she had just returned to live in her home village of Ahoghill after several years living and treating patients in the south east of England. She is an experienced hygienist and with her sunny, bubbly disposition she has quickly become popular with our patients. She is thorough in her work yet gentle and never scolds or lectures while helping and educating patients in how to maintain their gum condition between visits which is a vital part of what a hygienist does. We have had nothing but positive feedback from patients.
She is married to Paul and is mum to young Harrison, who ensures she is kept busy when she's not at work.

Ed has a deep seated connection with Jones Dental Care – he has carried out the prosthetic lab work for Jones’ for years and before him, his dad was the dental technician used by the practice, long before even Laura herself was a dentist!
Just recently Ed has decided to further his career – he is currently studying to become a clinical dental technician, which allows him to see patients directly to construct dentures. We’re delighted to have our very own in-house denture expert as an addition to the team! Ed is married to our practice manager, Samara. They are huge animal lovers and share their home with dogs, cats, chickens and a goat, which keeps them busy in their spare time!
