24 Hours Appointment Call back

This is a new courtesy service we are offering to our patients to help in booking, cancelling or moving an appointment. If you are busy during the day and find it easy to overlook calling us why not give this simple service a go. Fill in the form, send the request and we will call you back to organise your appointment.

How does it work?

Call 028 2565 6703 during office hours, you may find it more satisfactory to speak to us in person. Outside of office hours or if we are engaged when you call, simply fill in the form on the right, with the patients name and a contact telephone number. If there are multiple appointments, for example for you and the kids use your own name. Select whether you are making a new appointment, cancelling or moving a current appointment, and then click the blue button to send your request. If an appointment need is urgent [if you are in pain] please let us know by checking the "It's Urgent" box and your request will be given top priority. That's all you have to do!

We will then get in touch with you as soon as we possibly can. The emails will be checked every hour during the day, and requests made outside office hours will be handled before 11am the following morning.

A friendly reminder

As we have to be considerate to all our patients and booking slots can be difficult to obtain please bear in mind that if you email us to cancel or rearrange an appointment with less than 24 hours notice our normal conditions apply and a cancellation fee will still be charged.

Most important of all is the time and care Laura Jones Dental offers to the whole family.

We support both Private and Health Service patients although with the increase in private treatments we offer a membership plan to help pay for routine maintence. Alternatively the 'pay as you go option' for private treatments is still available.

Laura Jones provide many services which you can check out, however we pride ourselves in that we have encouraged modernisation and development whilst at the same time managing to retain the care that we have always had for all our patients.

Our Professional, well trained and experienced team has extended our services to that of support and consultancy in other areas such as, Hygiene for thorough cleaning, Acupuncture to alleviate pain and also the skills of the Therapist who cares for the children.

Whilst our staff bring many skills there are certain areas which each member has dedicated themselves too, bringing that added strength to the team.

We have recently been awarded both BDA Good Practice and Investors in People.

Our Team

Laura Jones, BDS, Studied at Queen’s University Belfast, Registered 1989

Laura, the practice owner, spends most of her time working with patients who are interested in cosmetic dentistry. Smile makeovers are her particular interest and she has recently started to offer facial aesthetic and line softening treatments. As well as running the practice, Laura helps tutor staff in preparation for national qualifications.

Bronagh Madden, BDS, studied at Queen's University Belfast, Registered 2005

Bronagh is from Mid-Ulster, a past pupil of St. Mary's in Magherafelt. On graduating from Queen's she moved to Edinburgh and then returned to the province to take up a post in Londonderry prior to joining the team here in January 09. Bronagh treats patients both within the NHS and privately, depending on the individual patient's treatment needs and wishes. She is a very professional, popular and competent dentist who has proven to be a very valuable member of our team. Outside of dentistry Bronagh is keen on sport and coaches a camogie team in her spare time.

Michelle Al-Ghaban, B Dent Sc BA, Studied at Trinity College Dublin, Registered 2004

Michelle grew up in Ballymena and is a former pupil of Ballymena Academy. After qualifying, Michelle moved back north and has been working in general practice in Belfast and also in another local practice, providing general family care and cosmetic dentistry for all ages. She has a patient-centred approach to denistry and enjoys helping patients achieve optimal oral health. Michelle lives in Ballymena and in her spare time enjoys horse riding activities and travel.

Raja Liddawi, BDS, studied at Queen's University Belfast, Registered 2009

Ray was born in Kuwait and still has his family there. He left home to study in Canada before embarking on six years at Queen's in Belfast studying dentistry. Ray has now begun a highly competitively sought after two year postgraduate scheme. His time is divided among an oral surgery hospital attachment, community dental service and general practice here in Ballymena. Ray's charisma and enthusiasm for his work are boundless and as the only male in the team he obviously isn't easily intimidated! Currently Ray accepts all categories of patients and is committed to carrying out dentistry in a caring and relaxed manner.

Tricia Alexander, CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene, Registered 1987

Tricia, our dental hygienist, joined us in November 2007. She has over 20 years experience and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our team. Her mission is to help prevent our patients lose their teeth through gum disease.

Jenny joined our team originally as a dental nurse but following study and qualification as a registered dental hygienist in 2008 we were proud and delighted to have her return to us as a clinician in her own right. She works closely with the dentists and Tricia to provide for our patients a first class service. Jenny brings to the team a completely up to the minute knowledge of gum disease and its most effective treatment modalities with a winning smile and a caring approach she is very popular with her patients and along with Tricia adds immeasurably to overall patient wellbeing.

Samara Rooney, LLB

Samara, our practice manager, comes to us with a background in law. Like many law graduates, her career has diversified and she has found her niche with us. She provides the practice, both team members and patients alike, with efficient, highly competent and friendly administrative support.
