Laura Jones
Studied at Queen’s University Belfast. Registered 1989
Laura is the senior dentist and practice owner. She went to school in Ballymena and spent the early years of her career working in general dental practice in central London while her husband, Alan, was working for prestigious architectural firms in the capital. She returned to Ballymena shortly after the birth of her two sons, Isaac and Gideon, who are now strapping teenagers and tower over their mum.
Laura became owner of the practice in 2003 and works almost entirely in private dentistry, providing ongoing care to her patients. Following extensive further training to update and enhance her clinical skills, Laura is now one of a small number of dentists in the province who are full members of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Laura loves her work and cares for her patients with consideration, empathy and kindness. She has a great sense of fun and really enjoys getting to know the folk she looks after. Laura has been touched by all the support she has received from her loyal ‘family’ of patients during the early years of owning the practice. -

He has a very friendly and relaxed manner and is a very genuine and down-to-earth guy. Alan is continuing with his dental education currently in the fields of implant dentistry and adult orthodontics. In his spare time Alan sings in a band – but will his new fiancée Liz cut short this hobby ? -
Rian McBride
BDS, studied at University of Dundee, Registered 2007
Formally registered as Robert but known to us all as Rian, Rian joined our team in September 2011. Since qualifying in 2007 Rian had been practising in Ayrshire but like so many found the draws of “home” irresistible. Rian returned to his roots just a matter of weeks before his marriage to another dentist (also known as Laura) so its been a busy time for him. Like our own Laura,Rian went to school at Cambridge House. Before entering dental studies he completed a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biochemical Science. Rian is settling in well to the team and feedback from our patients is 100% positive. He is a very caring and gentle person who has a very thorough and professional approach to his work and we are delighted to have him bring his own perspectives to our practice.
